Strongbond Nylon Bonded Thread - Tex 70 (3500 m) - Ice Blue - 616

AMANN Strongbond is a sewing thread made from bonded polyamide 6.6 continuous filament. This sewing yarn has a beautiful shimmer, and is especially suitable for heavy-duty seams and multidirectional sewing. Strongbond is mainly used for sewing thread for shoes, bags, suitcases, belts and small leather goods. This thread is suited for industrial machine sewing, but can be used in some heavy duty domestic machines.

The bonding process (also referred to as “gluing”) provides for a better cohesion of the thread's single yarn elements. The bonding substance gives the yarns a special superficial bonding, resulting in a better thread finish. The thread feels stiffer than normal sewing thread but, bonded threads are harder to untwist. The thread looks darker on the cone, and somewhat lighter when unspooled.
