Attach your straps this way and get a designer look in a second! These sit on the top edge of your handbag, hence the name, and are quite easy to attach. Since the inside of the metal ring is just over 3/4", you can use a bag strap that is 3/4" to 1" wide. These are suitable for a bag thickness that can be compress to fit into a 3/16" (5 mm) channel.

Instructions: After your bag is completed, and you have topstitched around the top opening, use the back plate to mark your holes.  Use a punch (Size #4 or 5) to cut the screw holes into the fabric, and assemble! Tips: Keep the plastic on the anchors until after the bag is completed to avoid scratches. The back plate may need to be pried off because it sometimes becomes adhered during the plating process. 

Measurements:

• Inside measurement of strap ring: 3/4" (21 mm)
• Overall Length: 4 1/4" (11 cm)
• Bar is 1/2" (12 mm) high. 
• Channel opening is 3/16" (5 mm) wide. If you have a thick bag, please make sure it can be compressed to fit in this size channel.
