An adjustable shoulder strap for any application.

ROCK STRAP is a versatile alternative to a “regular” adjustable shoulder or cross body strap. Sometimes a wider strap is more comfortable but a smaller swivel hook is just better for the bag. ROCK STRAP uses a “bridge” that fastens a 1” (2.5 cm) swivel hook to a 2" (5 cm) or 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) strap, OR uses a “bridge” that fastens a 3/4" (1.9 cm) swivel hook to a 1-1/4” (3.2 cm) strap. Consider adapting the BRIDGE ends to use your ROCK STRAP for a camera or instruments by replacing the swivel hooks with appropriate findings.

Features: 

• It is made to be removable and can be used on handbags, totes or duffle bags.
• The bridge transitions from 2” (5 cm) or 1-1/2” (3.8 cm) wide to 1” (2.5 cm) swivel hooks or from 1-1/4” to 3/4” swivel hooks.
• The strap is adjustable from about 68” to 42” (173 cm to 107 cm).
• The strap can be made with webbing, fabric, vinyl, cork or a combination of materials.
• ROCK STRAP is meant to be embellished - consider rivets, studs, spots, beads, ponchos, leather strips, a D-ring for your keys or a tassel, embroidery, overlays - the possibilities are endless.
• The bridge can be made from fabric, cork, vinyl or leather and is topstitched and fastened with rivets or stitching. We do recommend that the smallest BRIDGE be made from non-woven only because of the size.

PRINTING INFORMATION:

• To print, open in the most recently updated ADOBE READER or Adobe Acrobat. (If it is not updated, your pages may print black.) 
• To print accurately, open in ADOBE from a computer, and when printing make sure that the “scaling” is set to “none” or “actual size” in the print properties.
• A 1” x 1” test square is provided.
• Print the templates and measure the square to check printing accuracy

• 60” x 8” (150 cm x 20 cm) quilting weight cotton, linen, cork or vinyl OR 2” (5 cm) webbing
• For 1-1/2”(3.8 cm) strap:
• 60” x 6” (150 cm x 15 cm) quilting weight cotton, linen, cork or vinyl OR 1-1/2” (3.8 cm) webbing
• For 1-1/4”(3.2 cm) strap:
• 60” x 5” (150 cm x 12.7 cm) quilting weight cotton, linen, cork or vinyl OR 1-1/4” (3.2 cm) webbing
• Bridges: 
• 1 - fat eighth or equivalent of contrast fabric, cork, vinyl or leather for BRIDGES.
• Interfacing: 
• 2/3 yard (.6 m) woven fusible interfacing, 20 “ (50 cm) wide (e.g., Pellon Shape Flex SF101)
• Small piece of Pellon 809 or similar heavy non-woven fusible interfacing - about 7” (18 cm) square
• Embellishments (Optional and you can pick and choose or use what you have on hand.):

• to build solidarity and
• to mobilize funds for community-based organizations that support African grandmothers and the children in their care.
