Due to the number of pockets, and therefore layers, in this bag, we recommend quilting cotton as an ideal fabric. Canvas is also great and more experienced sewists may want to give vinyl a try. However, the bag is turned multiple times as we construct it so stiff and sturdy fabrics are not recommended. Cork is only suitable if it is high quality, malleable cork that won't crack when turned multiple times. Thin or flexible vinyl or leather will work but they will make the construction process considerably more difficult so we only recommend these for experienced bag makers.

Whatever fabrics you decide to use, make sure they’re suitable for your sewing machine. • 9 1/2" (24cm) Wide elastic for pen slots (1 1/2"/3.8cm wide) - optional
• 55" (140cm) Webbing for the main strap (1"/25mm wide)
• 56" (142cm) Webbing for the grab handles (1"/25mm wide) - optional
• 2 x Swivel hooks (1"/25mm)
• 2 x 3/4" (18mm) D-rings
• 1 x Strap slider (1"/25mm)
• 8 x Medium (8mm post) rivets
